Dancers are expected on time (to receive the proper warm-up/technique) and at all scheduled classes!!!! Poor attendance may lead to increased risk of injury, inability to retain movement vocabulary, and difficulty in sustaining the same level as the rest of the class. In addition, it is disrespectful to both fellow classmates and the dance educator to be repeatedly absent. In addition to regular attendance, DANCERS SHOULD PRACTICE AND STRETCH DAILY. When a child is learning to play a musical instrument (flute, guitar, etc.) he/she is strongly encouraged to practice daily. In dance, the body is the instrument! Dancers will retain, improve and excel at a much faster rate is he/she PRACTICES AND STRETCHES DAILY.
Please ensure that your dancer is properly attired for class. He/She will not be permitted to participate in class in the event that they are not wearing the proper attire!!

All dancers are in the recital unless otherwise noted. Costume payments will be charged in TWO installments: 11/1 and in full by 12/1. The costume fee will range in price between $55 and $75. If you would like to know your costume fee, contact the office. The recital is tentatively scheduled for EITHER SUNDAY, JUNE 11TH, 2017 OR SATURDAY, JUNE 17TH, 2017. The dress rehearsal is TENTATIVELY scheduled for EITHER SATURDAY, JUNE 3RD OR SUNDAY, JUNE 4TH, 2017 OR SATURDAY, JUNE 10, OR SUNDAY, JUNE 11TH, 2017! PLEASE MAKE NOTE OF ALL THESE DATES ON YOUR CALENDAR NOW!! FINAL DATES ARE DECIDED BY BRYN MAWR COLLEGE IN FEBRUARY. HEAVEN HELP ME!
Call the studio to inquire if class will be canceled due to bad weather. You will also receive an e-mail, it will be listed on our website, Facebook, or twitter. In the event that class is canceled, students are expected to find a time to attend a make-up class that is age appropriate. Once again, use this opportunity to test drive a new styles!

Classes will begin Saturday, September 17, 2016 and will continue through Friday, June 9TH, 2017 (may change due to recital date).
Classes will NOT be held on: 11/23-11/27 (resuming 11/28), 12/23 -1/1 (resuming 1/2), 4/10-4/17 (resuming 4/18), and 5/26-5/29 (resuming 5/30).
First Position’s tuition is not based on the number of classes per month. It is a total fee for the classes provided from September through our recitals in June. Tuition payments are broken into ten monthly payments. These payments are deducted from your DEBIT or CREDIT card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express) on the first day of each month from September 1st through June 1st. Any classes that are missed during the month may NOT be deducted from the next month’s tuition. It is the sole responsibility of the parent/student to make up the missed classes at another time. There is no time limit as to when missed classes are made up. Use this opportunity to test drive a new dance style!
